Our story begins with a man and a woman – both endowed with a deep passion for the mystic Himalayan mountains. The husband and wife team Sonam and Pasang Lamu Sherpa – as guides and adventurers – spent many years exploring mountains, valleys and their people’s ancient traditions. Along the way, they set the standard for mountaineering and climbing these magnificent peaks. Sonam could but share this expertise with others.
As sherpa, we know and love this region.

Our track record has earned us many accolades and recognitions for consistent high quality and great service. Awarded with First Prize for leading adventure company in Nepal by the Nepali government – and this every year from 1995 to 2006 and again in 2009. Major international commendations such as the International Gold Star for quality award from Business Initiative Directions in Madrid, Spain make us stand out against the backdrop of more than 500 competent adventure companies in Nepal.

Sustainability for us is more than just a wish
In an intimate relationship with our mountains we are strongly committed to be among the “Guardians of the Himalaya”.
We care for the balance between the development of mountain adventure and the protection of the environment and aim to instill respect for the Himalaya coupled with responsible behavior.
We take action - as responsible tourism leaders – by participating in community development such as establishing health clinics in rural areas (including co-funding Lukla Hospital), initiating solar-electricity schemes, developing water and sanitation projects to name but a few. We help support the care of the trekking porters’ shelter huts on trails above 4000 meters.
